To build a home without compromise, you need freedom to design. And because this is your property, you should be able to design it exactly how you want to.
With Trenz, you can start from scratch or choose from one of our plans and modify as you see fit – either way, customising has never been easier.
What is a floor plan?
In short, a floor plan is a scaled diagram of a room or building viewed from above. It usually includes measurements and can include furniture, appliances or anything else necessary to the purpose of the plan.
How important is a floor plan?
A strong floor plan is the difference between a good build and a great build. It increases the joy of living in the space, the flow of movement between spaces and can even increase its resale value.
What makes a great floor plan?
Flexibility: Considering the future in your design is imperative i.e. an office that could easily be transformed into a child’s bedroom.
Room layout: Thinking about how you will live in your space is key. Bathrooms shouldn’t face into common spaces, bedrooms should be far from entertainment spaces etc…
Size: Will people have room to move around? Is there room for furniture? Are hallways wide enough?
Fits your lifestyle: If you work from home, make sure your office gets light. If entertaining is important, make sure there’s a flow from the kitchen to the living space.
A ready-made plan?
If you aren’t sure where to start, we recommend finding a ready-made plan and modifying. Our plans range from one to five beds, all you need to do is choose the one that best suits you. Then it’s about customisation, moving walls, doors, windows and more to achieve your dream build.
